Millions of men and women from across our nation fought so that we could live in freedom here in Canada. November 11th is our chance to show our appreciation and remember all those who died for freedom.
Remitbee says, “This day is not only for those who died on the frontlines of war but for those who served on the home front as well. And not only for those we lost forever, for those who still live with physical and emotional scars.”
It is at this time that we pause to show our gratitude for each soldier who sacrificed so much for us. There are many ways to show reverence toward those who gave so that we might be free. Wearing a poppy on and around remembrance day is a way to proclaim to others your inner appreciation. You can also take a moment of silence at 11 o’clock on November 11th. This is a time to reflect and be grateful. We must recognize that our country would not be where it is today without our soldiers.
Lest we forget.
