Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to 2022!
Many activities are planned for this new year, so be sure to stay updated with our school website, the blog and our facebook page. Of course our extended break poses a few delays and alterations to the schedule but it’s nothing new to us as covid has struck us with similar challenges before.
Covid being the hot topic of the past couple years is getting better everyday. It presents new challenges every day, but as time goes by covid gets better and better to handle. Similarly, every year we spend on our beautiful planet earth, we learn, stumble, face challenges, try new things and consistently make ourselves better. Instead of “A new year, a new me!” we should be saying “A new year, a better me.” We are curious and investigative. Covid if anything has pushed us to understand more about life, relationships, the value of living and exploring and effectiveness of a relationship with God. We were challenged these past few years but here we are, a school community stronger and better than ever.
Today, I learned that God navigates the steps we take in life. We may do something naive, immature or sinful but God has a plan for us, a destination for each of you. God is redemptive and I like to think that the new year is our worldly checkpoint of in a way redeeming ourselves, setting goals to avoid the failures we experienced in the past year, correcting poor habits and creating new ones with valuable profits. Isaiah 44:22 says: “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” (NIV) This year God desires that we return to his path for us. That means we must turn and follow no matter the circumstances. And in so doing we can be confident in this, “that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. Phillipians 1:6
